Heading to The Vineyard this Summer? If it’s been a few years since your last visit to Martha’s Vineyard or it’s your first time on the island, and you want to relax and enjoy all the Island has to offer, here are some of our favorites to schedule in during your marvelous Martha’s Vineyard vacation.

  • Sailing around the Island:
    • Sail the Vineyard offers a unique experience with their all-female crew, led by an accomplished female captain. They provide an adventurous sailing experience around Martha’s Vineyard, allowing you to explore the island's beauty and history by sea.
    • Witch of Endor Sailing Charters invites you to explore the beauty of Martha's Vineyard from the water, including the lovely harbors of the nearby Elizabeth Islands and Cape Cod coastline.
    • The Black Dog Tall Ships offers a variety of sailing experiences, including day or sunset sails on their historic schooner, the Alabama. They provide an unforgettable sailing experience with options like the Oak Bluffs Fireworks Cruise.
  • Martha’s Vineyard Restaurants:
    • For a fine dining experience, Martha's Vineyard has numerous options. While I don't have specific names at hand, you can expect to find waterfront establishments that offer fresh, locally-sourced seafood and exquisite culinary creations.
  • Public Beaches:
    • Martha’s Vineyard island is home to several beautiful public beaches, like the South Beach in Edgartown, which is known for its wide sandy shore and great waves for surfing.
  • Art and Culture:
    • For art and culture, you might want to visit the Martha's Vineyard Art Association's Old Sculpin Gallery in Edgartown or the Martha's Vineyard Museum in Vineyard Haven to explore local art and history.
  • Shop Local:
    • The island's charming towns are filled with local shops offering everything from handmade crafts and baked goods to nautical-themed everything and of course your classic Black Dog sweatshirt. Edgartown and Vineyard Haven, for instance, have a variety of boutiques where you can find unique island treasures.
  • Relaxing Spa Days:
    • Bodysense and Spa L’Eau are two of our favorite spas on Martha's Vineyard though there are other spas and wellness centers in Oak Bluffs and Edgartown,

There you have it! A handful of activities for you to add to your vacation agenda as you’re planning your stay on the Vineyard, whether you're interested in sailing, dining, beachgoing, cultural exploration, shopping, or relaxing at a spa.
